Stockholm

Five days in Stockholm! Not what I was expecting at all, to be honest. A strange and careless mash up of old and new architecture but lots of hidden treasure...
And not many people about? Very very quiet. Maybe everyone was away on summer vacation? But we found one lovely bar on the water, Malar Paviljongen, that was packed every time.
Funny floating bar with lovely flowerboxes around the perimeter.
Little fish on a fence.
Dusk.
Walking into the Old Town.......where we found the ugliest painting of a baby ever done. What's with the frog hands?
Along the harbour.
Store windows you can't really see. This is Svenskt Tenn, a department store founded in 1924 Josef Frank and Estrid Ericson. Strandvagen 5. They have incredible linen fabric, with stunning bold vintage prints. Too rich for my blood though starting at 900 Kron / €90 meter. So instead I bought the book and picked up a catalogue. Book: 375 Kron / 37.50 Euro.
Here are some of the amazing fabrics:
All these fabrics were designed by Frank in the 1940s.
A rather nice '11'.
Last night where we headed to a vegetarian place recommended by a friend.
Hermans vegetarian buffet, which was fab. Huge place, and totally packed.
Open all day June to Sept 11 – 23, October to May 11 – 22. Fjallgaten 23.

Windows - London

One of my favourite things about wondering the streets of London is the amazing store windows. Beautiful and inspiring. This is Selfridges.
Forgot to write the name of this store down sorry. It's on Piccadilly, very old posh looking department store *update* which the lovely Sneaky Magpie has just informed me is called Fortnum & Mason. Thanks for that!
Chanel with lovely paper sculptures.
Missoni, I think. The only nice thing I think I've ever seen associated with this brand. Not a fan.
Liberty are known for their amazing fabrics and right now these windows showcase past and present designs.
Lingerie shop Bordello on Great Eastern in the East End.

the office - London

Hi Y'all. Been working in London town last few weeks. Manic, so that's why there's been no posts. And this is a lazy one, just some pics of the view from the office.
Ok, more soon...x
