Just Noey

This fun Alphabet plate is part of a series of hand illustrated type by Parul Arora with different food types corresponding to each Alphabet. Fine Bone China, diameter: 27cm. Available on Just Noey's Etsy store for USD $35. I think the 'A' is my fave. Just love asparagus!
The 'T' I also adore, but that could possibly just be my bunting addiction coming through...
D is for...Dark, Dreamy, Delicious Desserts! Sounds about right...

Hello Halloween

So Halloween is just around the corner so I thought I'd have a peak on Etsy and see what they had on offer. I found some rad little treasures to get you in the mood. Above, a vintage inspired Black Cat Standing about 13" tall on an antique alphabet block, made of paper mache and hand painted. USD $24.
Next up - this awesome Scary Cat! Another vintage-inspired crafter has made this cat. He's a 3-color screen print on 30 weight chipboard, which has been lasercut. It it quite sturdy, measures 10 x 10 inches. USD $10.
And by the same seller, this beautiful Owl. I just love the typography. Hand screen-printed in 4 classic vintage colors on heavy weight chipboard, then hand-cut. Measures 12 x 15 inches, shipped flat in a plastic sleeve, sandwiched in cardboard. USD $15.
Wonder finds here, vintage style maraca! Three to choose from: Corky Cat, Skeeter Skully, and Pumpkin Petey. Hand painted shakers. Each shaker is created upon order, individual shakers may vary *ever-so* slightly due to the handmade/hand painted nature. Head measures approx. 3 1/4" x 3 1/4". USD $18.
Now that the house is decorated, you'll need to decorate yourself. You'll need a mask! Three vintage plastic Halloween masks made in USA. USD $20
So I hope that got you in the mood. I think I know what I'm going to go as this year, but I'm not sure when I'll have time to work on my costume...wish me luck.

bitte liegen, dankerschon

Yesterday on the way to pick up some soup for lunch I passed a stack of empty boxes outside a fabric store. Now I wish I'd asked for it and taken it back with me. Anyhow, how great are these graphics?! I think they've probably been the same image for thirty years or more. A delightful thing to see and I hope they grace the side of boxes for thirty more years to come.
