vintage children's books I love

New Year's Eve, a time of reflection. So today I thought I'd share one of my favoutite blogs: Vintage Kid's Books My Kid Loves. This blog delves into our childhood and digs up all those great classic books we grew up with. Above is an image from Richard Scarry's Best Christmas Book Ever!, 1981. We had a few great Richard Scarry books growing up. Big books jam packed with fun characters that taught you everything you needed to know about the world around you.
This book is also featured. I either had this as a child or I borrowed it a million times as I remember is vividly. It's stunning. I've since tracked down a copy and it was even more beautiful than I remembered. So if you're home right now and all nostalgic, jump back in time and relive your youth one more time before the new year dawns.
The Mitten by Alvin Tresselt, illustrations by Yaroslava, 1964.
