A lovely little day trip is to Manly, just hop on a ferry from Circular Quay.
You'll get some fabulous views of the Opera House and city behind it from the water.
Approaching Manly.
Once you arrive, you need to cut across to the other side where the main beach is. There's an information booth close by, they can point you in the right direction, fear not.
We arrived rather late in the day and headed to a brunch spot friends recommended, The Bowery, around the bend. Facing the beach just follow it around to the right hand side and around the coast line.
And keep your eye out for these guys, sun-baking themselves on hot rocks.
This photo was taken in front The Bowery, wonderful to sit back and watch the world go by. The Bower Restaurant: 7 Marine Parade, Manly, Australia. Tel +61 2 9977 5451.
