Sukha Amsterdam

What a lovely treat I had on a very mouldy rainy Saturday in Amsterdam last where I was rewarded for dragging myself out of the house and braving the drizzle! Up upon the Haarlemmerstraat is brand spanking new shop called Sukha. Bright and airy shop filled to the brim with everything a girl could want to decorate your house or yourself.
Sukha mean 'life joy' in Sanskrit (if I'm to believe babelfish translate), in the language of the Buddhist monks of India and Nepal. At Sukha you find modern fashion, interior, accessories, gifts, books, workshops and travel under one roof.
The products at Sukha have come from far and wide; India, Nepal, Morocco, Peru, Indonesia and the Netherlands. They have been reused, vintage or other ethically produced products.
See how lovely? Lots of rich fabrics and materials. Delicious.
There are some gorgeous necklaces and other jewels, featured above.
The interior design of the shop is really wonderful too. Minimal, clever and in the true spirit of the stores believes and products. And guess what! It's Sukha Amsterdam's official opening today! So pop along to the Haarlemmerstraat and have some bubbles and nibble and have a look at all the goodies in there! I dare you to leave empty handed! It ain't gonna happen. So head over there from 16:00 to 19:00 TODAY! Tell them Miss Lel sent you :)
Sukha Amsterdam: Haarlemmerstraat 110. Open Monday 12 - 6.30pm, Tuesday - Saturday 10 - 6.30pm, Sunday 12 - 5pm.
