A view of Hoi An from the water is a really lovely way to spend a
drizzly morning, we discovered. Cruising the waterways, admiring the
beautifully painted fishing boats as we glided on by. Little shacks dotted the coastline with the occasional two-story skinny concrete building. The majority of homes were these very tall and skinny buildings, apparently a result of land taxing rules.
Stopping off at a little village we visited a pagoda and a ceramic's works.
Chickens and chicks running about everywhere. Lazy dogs minding homes, paying no attention at all to the chicks running about them.
And then back to Hoi An we headed, past some fishermen and women, past more gorgeous boats and back to home base.
