Hayes Valley & Castro

Hayes Valley is a quaint little tree-lined shopping strip, only a 10 minute bus ride from the center of the city. I really liked (though hardly affordable...) Japanese clothing shop Cotton Sheep. Steven Alan was another fave fashion store for men and women, with a elegant and simple north European style.
Loved the display out the front of America's first sake store, True Sake. And another fashion fave was Rand + Statler.
Polonco: A Gallery of Mexican Arts is a fascinating place filled with incredible art and crafts.Well worth a peek.
The Castro district is another shopping street and is one of the State's first gay neighbourhoods. Castro Theatre sign below,
After Castro, we started to make our way to Alamo Square, and on the way passed a house covered head to toe in Christmas decoration. The photo doesn't really do it justice, it was nuts.
