Left My Heart In...

San Francisco! Had us a fabulous time visiting our lovely friends Cat, Jab, and the most gorgeous baby Emily. With ten days to explore the many little boroughs of the city, Napa Valley, and up the coast to Tomales Bay, it was a simply beautiful, relaxed and the perfect Chrissy break.
The first area we hit to explore was Mission's Valencia Street. A major shopping street, lots to see. Wonderful buildings, great weathered signage.
A tree grate marking the start of the Mexican area. We went to an amazing little Mexican eatery. Another more upmarket place we dined at was Bar Tartine. Loved this restaurant! Amazing food. Big thanks to Ms Jamie for organising! I could eat here every the night of the week. The food was fresh, the dishes new, innovative, cozy, and served in a family-share style. Shame we were all too full for desert, they also looked amazing!
Fine Arts Optical is one of the stores that stood out on Valencia. It's packed with an incredible array of vintage glasses and sunglasses. Also a few stunning hats, both men's and women's by Elina's store-within-a-store offerings. The store owner is just lovely and if you're in the market for some frames with personality, this is the place for you.
I wish glam hats were in. Love these both, and they made me think of the divine Ms Davina.
Another interesting shop was Paxton Gate. Full of quirky items for the house or garden.
Other places we liked are Digitalfix Design and Electronics, where you can get yourself some strip photos!
