Sunday Day Trippin'! Siena is a short 1 hour 45 min coach ride from Florence. Siena's a pretty small little town, but we managed to fill our day there no problem.
One of the most tourist places is Piazza il Campo. But it's not hard to see why, especially on a sunny bright day.
More amazing ceiling frescos.
The highlight of the trip was for sure lunch. My, oh, my. It was listed in a guidebook so that sometimes raises suspicions, but Antica Osteria da Divo was incredible. We were three levels down in a cellar, and the food and wine was just sublime.
And we found this great little street with the Torre del Mangia in the background.
And what do you know, but at the end of the street was Piazzo del Mercato, where there was a Sunday flea market. Fun to see, but it was more
One last visit to the Piazza il Campo, then we went a few hundred meters out of the town you can have some amazing views looking back into the town.
