Grasshopper & Dachshund

Anthropologie have this very nice grasshopper stapler, classic Japanese design, but only available in the US store.
And this nice dachshund letter holder, available on the EU store. Pretty sure my desk would look awesome with these little fellows sitting on them.

Celia Britwell

New discovery for me in the textile world: Celia Britwell. I must have been living under a rock to have missed this until now. Wonderful whimsical designs. She's also just done a collaboration with Uniqlo. I picked out some of my favourite textiles and wallpapers from her site. Lots of fun!

Swanky Skies

Look who's teamed up? Vivienne Westwood and Richard Brandson! Dame Viv has redesigned the uniforms for Virgin Atlantic. Love the red jacket. Keeping Virgin's iconic red, naturally. They've now gone into testing phase, hopefully they get the stamp of approval. Keep your eyes peeled should you be flying Virgin Atlantic any time soon.

Zoo On

First four made! A little craft project on the go to use up some old felt swatches I've had hanging about for years and years. To begin: dog, pig, giraffe, and fox. I'm not very happy with the fox, though. Doesn't look totally foxy...
And the rest of the swatches waiting for their transformation. Only I'm at a loss as to what to make with all the purple swatches. What animals are purple...? I also have some light blues and a green. maybe some fish. Taking suggestions!

Balcony In Bloom

The Dutch are usually very tolerant people, but I find they have one prejudice; geraniums. I've heard many a time a saying something along the lines of 'sitting and watching the geraniums grow', an expression referring to the elderly, or getting old. And that makes all the Dutch my age dislike this pretty bright flower. Shame on you. I love geraniums, my mum had red ones just like I've planted in front of her shop, Cinderella, that she had for a few years. And I think they'll be hardy enough for this brilliant summer we're having. so, go, geraniums, go! I say.

Miga de Pan

What a treat! A feast for the eyes today with the sublime stitches of Miga de Pan out of Argentina. I love everything they make. Everything! Really fun, fresh, and beautifully executed embroidery.
These little fellows are from their latest exhibition. Lions, lions, lions. So many gorgeous lions. I especially love the one below.
Some other nice treats I found going through their site archive. All just beautiful.
Their use of colour is just great, too.
Cotton lust.
Lovely cardigans on chairs. Such superb needlework.
