Taylor's Port

You can't go to Porto and not drink port. It's illegal. Pretty sure. Being the law-abiding citizens we are, we headed to one of the oldest and only family-owned-and-run port houses left in Porto; Taylor's. Set high up the hill from the banks of the river Douro on beautiful grounds complete with peacocks and BABY PEACOCKS (adorable!) we had a nice and very informative tour of the grounds before the port tasting. Given my current state, I had one little drop of a red and tawny port to tickle the taste buds only... so Edu lucked out, then getting to finish my glasses off.
Taylor's has a lovely garden and terrace overlooking the valley in which to sip your port. Quite the perfect end to the day. We didn't leave Portugal empty handed, and now have some yummy port in our drinks cabinet to crack open at Christmas. I can't wait! And neither can my Mum, I'm sure after reading this. You love a good drop of port, right, Mum? :) Cheers!
