London and Nobrow

Two weekends ago my family took a last minute trip to London. It was the last weekend of Edu's paternity leave, and we both found out there were exhibitions on that were right up our respective alley's. For him; Comics Unmasked at the British Library, and for her; Wedding Dresses 1775 – 2014 at the V&A. It was Edu's last weekend of paternity leave, so we decided to go for it. Sorry for those I couldn't catch up with – it was a very short last-minute trip and with our new baby-enforced schedule, there was only so much we could fit in. I came back, sick, so I'm only just getting around to posting about it now. We stayed at the Hoxton – holds dear memories of our early romance, and I love the East of London. It'd changed a bunch since I was last there. One lovely addition, Nobrow; an independent publisher of graphic art, illustration, and art comic books. Aside from just loving the beautiful store, we picked up a few stunning children's books for Oscar, and some great pictorial concertina comics for his as decoration / inspiration in the years to come. Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area.
