Sóller, Mallorca

Another day in Mallorca, another stunningly beautiful little town. Sóller is about a 20 minute taxi ride from Deià, or you can take a direct train from Palma.
It's a lovely little town with the main attractions being a immaculately maintained vintage tramcar that takes passengers from the town centre of Sóller to it's port; about 10 minutes. The ride is lovely, but I have to say, getting a seat was pretty stressful. We were there in the low season and there were a lot of people wanting to get on the tram and it was a bit of a mad dash to get on. The way back was even worse. The tramcars don't run very often, and if you miss the last tram, good luck getting a taxi. We waited quite a while for one and then gave up and went back to the masses waiting for the tramcar. We got on, but not without a big German guy pushing past me to get on...as I was standing there with a baby in a maxicosi. Nice... so just beware.
The port of Sóller is horrible, clearly. Nothing but blue skies, aqua green waters, boats, pristine beach, and waterfront cafés and restaurants serving up fresh seafood. Just horrible.
