Year One

Yep. We've been State side just over a year now. Time has just screamed by and it's been a a roller coaster ride so far. We've moved apartment twice, had a second baby, Edu's been promoted, and we've had friends and family from far and wide come visit. Keeping up with writing blog posts has been nigh on impossible the last few months. But, a new nanny is in the works so hopefully I can get back on track again soon.
These photos are from the weekend; our first school trip with Oscar's daycare, Bija, to Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard. We were lucky enough to car pool with another family, thankfully, as it was one of the best days out we've had since the move. Oscar was thrilled to be out in the open space running around, falling in mud, picking apples straight off the tree, playing in the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful setting. Discovered a new variety of apple; Liberty. Just sublime. And this, to me, is part of the reason we moved; we'd have never gone apple picking in Holland. We rarely went outside of Amsterdam, and when we did it was to leave the country. Hopefully there are many more little adventures like this to come!
